Owner
David
Craving a change after a career in retail management, I launched my massage therapy career in 2017 after graduating from Miller-Motte Technical College in Roanoke, VA. I am a highly skilled therapeutic and deep tissue massage specialist. I don't have to work, but love what I do. I was always drawn to massage therapy, learning from a young age that I could help my mom, who suffered from chronic pain after a work accident, by using massage. I work exclusively with people living with chronic pain and I enjoy being able to help them through the healing process and make their lives a little better one massage at a time.
Massage Therapist
Andrea
I graduated from massage school in Austin Texas back in 2012 and have been doing this massage thing ever since! I am trained in pregnancy massage, trigger point, stretching, craniosacral therapy, Thai foot and reflexology, oncology massage and migraine/headache relief. I still have so much I want to learn and I feel passionate about contributing toward a healthier, happier community.

With a passion to help bring pain relief and better quality of life to people, I have discovered the same devotion for helping clients exists here at Body Mechanic. After graduating in 2008 from Gaston College in NC with my Associates in Massage Therapy, I decided to continue with an education in Exercise Science and also obtain my Certification through the ACSM as a Personal Trainer. I understand that every person is built differently and affected differently by the same ailments, I believe in treating each individual with respect and personalizing their treatment to improve their quality of life.

Massage Therapist
Nicholle
In my younger years, I faced several health challenges that resulted in significant pain throughout my body. I received assistance from a woman who specialized in massage and acupuncture. After her passing, I attended her memorial and was moved by the stories shared by those she had helped, just as she had helped me. This experience ignited a desire within me to pursue a career that would allow me to spread positivity and hope to others. In 2019, I graduated from the Technical College of the Rockies and I am committed to furthering my education in massage therapy. My goal is to provide others with hope and relief in their bodies so they can live fulfilling and joyful lives.

Massage Therapist
Terry
I am a retired physical therapist and current massage therapist. Having dealt with widespread body pain and severe headaches since childhood, I have explored many different treatment approaches and have adopted those techniques that have given me the most relief. I try to figure out and treat the underlying causes of your pain based on understanding anatomy and physiology, instead of just treating the pain itself. Though I am an expert in treating pain, YOU are the world’s foremost expert of how your own body responds. When we put our heads together and communicate well, we can get you better, faster.

Personal Trainer
Veronique
I am a highly qualified personal trainer with certifications in personal training, nutrition counseling, group fitness instruction, and yoga. I work with clients on things like strength, flexibility, and balance, static and/or PNF stretching, nutrition, as well as teaching self-myofascial release. Sessions will be tailored to fit individual needs and can be adjusted according to each client’s mobility needs, pain level, and abilities. The most rewarding part of being a personal trainer is witnessing my clients' transformations—not just physically but in their confidence and overall approach to life. Guiding them through their fitness journey and celebrating their victories motivates me every day.

Office Manager
Mo
I am joining the Body Mechanic with a background in non-profit administration and human service. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients and providing administrative support to our practice so that the focus is 100% on client care. I will be training as a massage therapist at Mountain Gateway Community College starting in June of 2024 and with the goal of becoming a therapist at the Body Mechanic, using my language skills to serve English and Spanish-speaking clients.
Education Consultant
Fred
Fred is a seasoned anatomy education professional. With long hours and constant exposure to the public, he will occasionally fall to pieces, fortunately we’re good at putting people back together at The Body Mechanic. He is also quite forgiving if someone hits a nerve while he’s working. There is quite a lot he can “stand”. Anyone who spends enough time with him will surely see he has a good heart (literally).
His passion is helping people get a deeper understanding of how they can take care of their muscles to reduce pain and increase their quality of life. Fred’s hobbies include life modeling for artists, staring contests (he always wins), meditation, and quiet contemplation while staring at the office plants.
